VIRTUAL S.E.L.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, The Children’s Learning Center (CLC) created a virtual room that students and families could access for resources pertaining to Social Emotional Learning (SEL) skills. Corresponding with the SEL theme of the month, the committee put together a virtual room each month explaining the theme and providing the families with access to resources simply by clicking on objects in the room.
For example, the lava lamp that in the photo would take you to another page that has mindfulness imagery for the families who needed a resource to help keep their children calm. The families were able to access the virtual SEL rooms through their assigned Google account. Currently, the students continue to receive access to these rooms as an additional resource to what they receive in-person.
